Saahil's Cells Nucleus - The nucleus is the control centre that contains the cell's genetic information and is in charge of the cell's growth and reproduction. It is the biggest and the chief organelle in the cell.
Mitochondria - These are the cell's power producers. They convert energy into forms that are useable by the cell.
Cell Membrane - A thin semi-permeable membrane which engulfs the cell's cytoplasm.
Cytoplasm - The cytoplasm consists of all of the contents outside of the nucleus and enclosed within the cell membrane of a cell. This includes the cytosol of a cell (semi-fluid component).
Vacuoles - A small cavity in all of the cytoplasm of a cell, bound by a single membrane and containing water, food, or metabolic waste
Endoplasmic Reticulum - A membrane netrwork within the cytoplasm of cell involved in the synthesis, modification and transport of cellular material.
Ribosomes - A minute round particle of RNA and protein that is found in the cytoplasm of living cells. It serves as the site of assembly for messenger RNA.
Lysosomes - A membrane-bound organelle in the cytoplasm of the majority of the cells bearing various hydrolytic enzymes that function in intracellular digestion.
